Old Age Grant, Child Support Grant Top-Up, and Disability Grant - step by step.

Who it is for
• Older persons (Old Age Grant)
• Caregivers of children (Child Support Grant, including the top-up where it applies)
• People with a disability who cannot work (Disability Grant)

What to take
• Your 13-digit South African ID (or birth certificate for a child)
• Proof of where you live in Ocean View
• 3 months of bank statements
• Proof of income (if you have any)
• For a disability grant: a medical / assessment report as SASSA asks

How to apply
1. Check if you qualify on the Western Cape Older Persons Grant guide.
2. Watch the walkthrough video below so you know the form before you go.
3. Apply at a SASSA office, or online where SASSA allows it.
4. Keep your receipt and reference number.
