Claim Unemployment Insurance (UIF) if you were retrenched, lost your job, or go on maternity leave.
What you need
• 13-digit ID
• Last employer details and your UI-19 if you have it
• Bank details for payment
How to file
1. Register or log in on UIF Online (employee claims). Do not use the old uFiling claims page - that is for employers now.
2. Submit the claim online.
3. Keep screenshots and your claim number.
